About Veer Yodha

Where Bharatiye warriors are forged

Veer Yodha is the Bangalore akhara of Karla Kutuhal — a living floor for traditional Bharatiye warrior arts. We carry the lineage of Tamizhar Kalai Puducherry — Silambam, Kuthu-Varisai, and the classical Ayudhs — and present it as a structured, certifiable path open to children from age 5, adults, and lifelong practitioners alike.

The akhara is built around three things: grounded conditioning (the Padams), weapon mastery (Silambam, Karlakattai, sword, double-stick, Gada), and safe controlled-contact sparring (Jodi practice from day one).

  • Belt & level upgradation every 3–6 months by Tamizhar Kalai Puducherry
  • Hybrid by design — in-person training is preferred for Jodi sparring; online keeps the lineage accessible everywhere
  • All equipment (Silambam staves, Karlakattai, short-sticks) provided at the floor
  • Open for all — children welcome from age 5
