Months 1-2: Foundation Building

  • MeiPadam basics - Full body movement patterns and flows
  • OndiPadam basics - combat footwork & Nilayi/Asana/stances
  • TaraiPadam introduction - Ground work and floor exercises
  • Short-sticks fundamentals - Coordination and basic strikes
  • Flexibility, mobility, and functional strength development

Months 3-4: Skill Development

  • Padi-Karlai introduction - Single hand club training
  • Double hand stick coordination patterns
  • Kai Karlai 12 basic Sutrus/Mandalas - arm length club/mudgar
  • Intro to Combat Silambam, Podi-kucchi & Kuthu-varisai (bare-hand) basics

Months 5-6: Integration & Precision

  • 16 primary Sutras with KaiKarlai & stick variations
  • 10+ transitions and flowing combinations
  • Form refinement and strength-endurance building
  • Intermediate Sutras introduction
  • Basic footwork patterns in Karlakattai

The whole warrior artAyudh (weapons), Niyudh (unarmed combat), Silambam, Kuthu-Varisai. The hybrid mode deliberately encourages in-person attendance for the sparring and Jodi sessions that you can only learn body-to-body.

  • Syllabus: 12 Kuthu-Varisai + 11 Silambam + 12 traditional Ayudh systems, with safe Jodi sparring from week 1
